    DINING
Guests of the hotel enjoy a complimentary buffet breakfast each morning.

Gourmet Club restaurant and lounge - Beneath an Art Nouveau stained-glass dome, guests enjoy Czech and international dinners to the tinkling of a period fountain in the middle of the room. Tables are decorated with French-style silver and antique-look glassware made specially for the hotel - walls are hung with antique lithographs. A back room, screened by plants and a decorative fireplace, provides more privacy. The attached mirror-lined lounge is filled with armchairs.

L'Époque - A large buffet breakfast is served to guests and Prague business people from the restaurant's sweeping marble bar. Waiters in vintage-look gray waistcoats serve in a room full of Art Deco touches.

Lobby lounge bar - Open 24 hours, the lobby bar serves drinks, snacks and take-out coffee, as well as a 'rush' breakfast. Booths are divided by Art Nouveau glass screens, a deep octagonal tank is full of goldfish, and windows overlook the historic buildings and traffic of the New Town.

    SERVICES
What to expect: Under a Viennese Secessionist façade, guests step between muscular Art Nouveau statues into a cream marble lobby. Over the wood and green marble reception desk, abstract glass butterflies cluster together to make a turn-of-the-century chandelier. Popular with visiting celebrities, the Palace also attracts business travelers, older sightseers and young couples with a taste for unique elegance.

Amenity highlights: In a neighborhood renowned for its Art Nouveau architecture, the Palace stands out from the crowd with its elegant Viennese lines. A hotel since 1909, the regularly renovated Palace still has many of its original fittings. The Gourmet Club Restaurant uses antique-style glassware designed specially for the hotel, and guests dine beneath a large Art Nouveau frieze to the tinkling of a period fountain.

Insider tip: The Palace is situated in Prague's New Town, which was new in the 14th century, when King Karel IV decided to extend the city. The first of the new buildings went up on the very block where you'll now find the Palace. On the corner of JindYišská and Wenceslas Square, a block from the hotel, the building that now houses Miss Bijoux was once an insurance office where Prague's most famous author, Franz Kafka, worked in 1908.

In addition to a large, modern conference room, the Palace features two small meeting rooms - named for opera-star guests Emma Destinová and Enrico Caruso - decorated in period style. A Finnish sauna and massage service help guests relax after meetings and sightseeing.
