    DINING
Café de la Paix - This brasserie, built with the hotel in 1862, is richly decorated with frescoes on the high ceilings, gold-leafed columns, mahogany wood detailing, and elegantly dressed tables. Locals stop for coffee in the glassed-in terrace with views over a busy intersection of Parisian boulevards and the square in front of the Palais Garnier. A full breakfast buffet features organic, American, and Japanese food options. Specialties include fresh seafood platters and flaky mille-feuille (puff pastry). Open daily from 7 AM until past midnight.

Le Bar du Grand Hotel - This low-lit bar has upholstered armchairs, dark-wood paneling, and a low ceiling for added intimacy. The bar also provides service in the adjoining atrium lounge, a vast salon flooded in sunlight during the day, with pale marble columns and archways, low tables and armchairs, and grand piano in the evenings. Cocktails and beverages, as well as light meals and snacks, are served from 11 AM to midnight daily.
