Barcelona International Airport El Prat de Llobregat (BCN): Approximate driving time is 20 minutes and distance is 16 miles (10 kilometers).

Trains and yellow and black taxi cabs are available for transfer from the airport to the center of Barcelona. The Aerobus also serves terminals A and B and takes passengers to Plaza Catalunya and Plaza Espanya in central Barcelona.

The extensive underground train system (the Metro) connects the hotel with the rest of central Barcelona with most journeys taking less than 20 minutes. The Metro station closest to the hotel is Passeig de Gracia. The hotel can give advice on local bus services and order yellow and black taxi cabs on request.

Nicte - A wall of windows, cream marble floors, Venetian blinds and white table cloths combine to create a bright dining space. Wooden chairs are upholstered in blue and brown-stripped fabrics and soft furnishing line one wall. Open daily for cold buffet breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Catalan Sausage, Iberian Ham and Mascarpone Tiramisu feature on the modern, locally influenced, Mediterranean menu.

Bar - Design touches in the minimalist bar include mirrored pillars, large modern paintings and dark wooden tables with steel legs. Drinks and snacks are available all day until late evening. Seating is provided by velvet covered sofas and individual armchairs covered in brown fabric.

Amenity highlights: In 1999 the hotel was completely overhauled to create a sense of elegance and space. The reception is open-plan to the bar. Here light marble floors, mirrored pillars, large brown sofas, a partially enclosed library and mood lighting combine to create a tranquil and inviting environment. A small fitness room overlooks the sun terrace and has good city views. There is also a small outdoor pool.
