    DINING
Elixir Restaurant and Bar - Rub shoulders with Vancouver’s in-crowd at this French brasserie–style restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily. Antique-leather banquette seating, marble countertops, and an award-winning menu make this casually elegant restaurant a dining hot spot. Specialties include Steak with Pommes Frites and Mussels with Spicy Lamb Sausage. Extensive wine list; martinis a specialty.

Opus Bar - Drinks and tapas star at this lobby lounge where glowing glass tables jostle for attention with leather couches, chrome barstools, and ornate, oversize ottomans. Dramatically lit gauze curtains cascade from the ceiling. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer views of passersby from this see-and-be-seen scene.

Café O - Lobby cafe serving coffee drinks as well as sandwiches, soups, and desserts all day.

Insider tip: The hotel is located in Yaletown, a historic warehouse district that’s been transformed into an upscale neighborhood with high-tech offices, shops, and restaurants with patios built on former warehouse loading docks. Worth sampling: works by Native Canadian artists at Coastal Peoples Fine Arts Gallery, and the home-brewed beer at Yaletown Brewing Company.
