Authorized taxis, minivans (or collectivos), and private cars are the best way to make the journey from the airport to your hotel. | El Mercado - This restaurant features tropical Mexican decor with arches, colored-tile accents, marble floors, and lush greenery. El Mercado serves Continental breakfast followed by a full breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner features Italian, Cajun, Mexican, and Asian cuisine. Las Redes - This open-air restaurant overlooks the Caribbean and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, with grilled foods to order. Las Golondrinas - Named for a Mexican bird, this hacienda-style restaurant with wood-beam ceilings and colorful linens serves refined Mexican dinners. Reservations and dress code required. At the hotel's lobby, pool, sports, and beach bars, all beverages—including liquor, beer, wine, juice, soft drinks, and tropical drinks—are part of the All-Inclusive Plan and may be ordered without limit. There's live music and dancing nightly at the Lobby Bar or the Pool Bar. Room service runs 24 hours, with guests limited to one order per day. |

| What to expect: Non-stop activity is the theme here, beginning with stretching by the pool in the morning. Step aerobics or pool aerobics follow. Later there are handicrafts, Spanish lessons, bingo, games, cocktail-mixing lessons, dance classes, beach volleyball, pool basketball, water-balloon fights, and fashion shows. After-dinner activities include karaoke, casino night, and shows produced by the resort's entertainment staff. Each night the resort provides one-way transportation to a selected Cancún nightclub. Amenity highlights: Sunning opportunities abound, including ample space on a terrace running along the entire front of the resort above the white-sand beach. Within the terrace is a three-section pool connected by narrow channels, which are crossed by bridges. (One section is for children.) Thatch-roof palapas interspersed with gardens offer shade. Insider tip: As part of the All-Inclusive Plan, guests are entitled to use pools and beaches and dine and drink in restaurants and bars at all other Palace Resorts: the Sun Palace, the Moon Palace south of Cancún Island; and at two Palace Resorts on the Riviera Maya, Xpu-Ha Palace and Aventura Spa Palace, about 50 miles south of Cancún. Transportation, however, is not provided. The Beach Palace, about 15 minutes away by public bus, offers a children's center that's open to Cancún Palace guests. |
