La Palapa - True to its name, this lunch-and-dinner restaurant is located under a huge palapa facing the sea. Lunch features Mexican specialties and light foods such as sandwiches and salads. Dinner features steaks, chicken dishes, and seafood such as lobster thermidor and grilled fish.

Bikini Bar - Located at the pool, this casual spot includes a swim-up side and serves fast food such as hamburgers and nachos.

Lobby Bar - Piano music, tropical drinks, and traditional cocktails attract guests here in the evening.

Amenity highlights: The resort's large free-form pool contains an island reachable by little wood-rail bridges and is shaded by a thatch-roofed palapa. The pool has a children's section and shallow-water shelves for toddler wading. On the beach, a series of small, shallow-water coves for swimming and wading are in front of the resort.

Insider tip: Shopping, dining, and nightlife centers are located up and down Cancún Island and in the town of Cancún. Public buses run from town to the southern end of the island every few minutes, making it easy to get around.
