    SERVICES
What to expect: This cluster of 28 white stucco buildings with red-tile roofs nestles like a mountain village in beautifully landscaped grounds. With 585 rooms, 65,000 square feet of meeting space, and championship golf, this resort attracts a large convention and conference clientele. Families and couples seeking fun in the sun enjoy the spectacular setting and variety of leisure and recreational activities.

Amenity highlights: This resort's spectacular setting is matched by its extensive list of amenities, including Lookout Mountain Golf Club, with 18 holes of championship golf, and the Falls Water Village, a 3.5-acre water park incorporating swimming pools, waterfalls, private cabanas, and a 138-foot enclosed waterslide. Tocaloma Spa & Salon offers body treatments, facials, and salon services.

Insider tip: An easy half-mile hike is available just off the resort grounds. But for a serious workout with great views, it's worth the 5-mile drive to Piestewa Peak Summit Trail. The Valley of the Sun's most popular hike offers spectacular vistas. A roundtrip hike to the summit and back takes from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the hiker.

Eight pools with spa tubs, 23 poolside cabanas, and an open-air restaurant enliven the 3.5-acre Falls Water Village, but the big draw for kids is a 138-foot-long enclosed waterslide. Summer "dive-in" movies, an 18-hole desert-style golf course, two lighted tennis courts, and a day spa provide something for everyone. The hotel arranges rental of mountain bikes, an ideal way to explore the adjacent Phoenix Mountain Preserve.
