Getting there: The most popular ways to arrive at the hotel are by taxi ($26–35), airport shuttle (Cloud 9 fare is $5–15 per person) or rental car (more than $36.) Getting around: Guests can walk to a number of restaurants in the immediate area of the hotel or across to University Town Centre Mall for both restaurants and stores. The hotel offers complimentary van service (based upon availability) to points within a 5-mile radius, including Scripps Aquarium, La Jolla, and Seal Beach. To reach other San Diego attractions, a rental car is best since the trolley does not service the area and a taxi is needed to get to the nearest Coaster trains at Sorrento Valley Station. Coaster commuter trains go to Santa Fe Depot in downtown San Diego. Buses also go downtown from around the corner of the hotel but take longer. Single public transit fares are less than $5.
