Getting around: Many businesses, shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, historic sites, and other tourist attractions are within a radius of a few blocks so walking is the favored way to get around downtown. Guests can access the metro transit system by hopping on buses traveling Broadway or taking the trolley from a block away at Seaport Trolley Station. Coaster (commuter rail) and Amtrak trains leave from Santa Fe Depot 3 blocks away. One-way bus, trolley, and Coaster fares are less than $5. Water taxis travel around San Diego Bay, stopping at various points depending on passenger request; most one-way fares are $5–15; reservations preferred.
