Getting around: The hotel is close to SeaWorld, some restaurants, and the beach with its tourist shops, so walking is a good way to get around in the area. Otherwise, most guests use buses or taxis to explore. Buses stop in front of the hotel on W Mission Bay and go to Old Town where transfers can be made to other buses or to the trolley. One-way bus, trolley, and Coaster (commuter rail) fares are less than $5. Taxi fare downtown is $16–25. Water taxis travel around San Diego Bay, stopping at various points depending on passenger request; most one-way fares are $5–15; reservations preferred. Baja Café & Cantina - Located at the base of the hotel’s 17-story tower, this casual family restaurant with marina views features American fare and Mexican specialties, and serves all meals (including weekend breakfast buffets). The adjacent bar, with both exterior and restaurant entrances, offers a relaxing environment for enjoying beer, margaritas, and other libations.

Java Hut - This lobby coffee bar, open daily in the morning, provides specialty coffees, cold beverages, and pastries.
