Getting around: Walking is a popular way of getting around at any hour. San Francisco’s MUNI system offers routes throughout the city and includes electric streetcars, cable cars, trolleys, buses, and light rail. A variety of MUNI stops offering access to almost any needed route are within six blocks of the hotel. All-day and three-day MUNI passes both cost between $5–$15 and are valid for unlimited travel and transfers. Fees subject to change without notice. The BART rail system provides access to much of the Bay Area, including Berkeley and Oakland; the Powell St BART station is six blocks from the hotel. Taxis are also available. Plentiful alternative transportation makes renting a car unnecessary, and parking in the city is generally scarce and expensive. For travel to outlying areas guests can rent a car for the day.
