    SERVICES
What to expect: From its 36-slip marina and water-activities center to its waterside open-air shopping promenade to its Sunset Festival, the resort embodies Key West's appeal—but with a slightly more refined gloss on the island's casual fun-making. Mallory Square's Sunset Celebration (next door over a short wooden bridge), for instance, offers food carts but no alcoholic beverages and no seating. The Hilton's Sunset Festival offers temporary bars, tables, and open-air seating in front of and atop its restaurant.

Amenity highlights: For a fee, guests are ferried eight minutes from the Hilton's marina on Key West's western tip to a sister resort on Sunset Key. Sunset Key includes an expansive beach of dazzlingly white sand imported from the Bahamas and an all-day, open-air restaurant. Visitors are limited in number so the beach never becomes overcrowded. The Hilton's concierge arranges reservations at the restaurant and complimentary ferry service. A good-size pool, eight-person spa, and wood lounge chairs with thick pads provide swimming, soaking, and sunbathing in a garden courtyard at the Hilton.

Insider tip: The nightly Sunset Festival begins in earnest about an hour before sunset, signaled by the arrival of Dominique and His Flying House Cats on the resort's expansive waterfront deck and island-beat sounds emanating from a band on the second-story Sunset Deck. Arriving one to two hours before sunset is essential to obtaining a good table or standing-room vantage point for watching both the sunset and the performing cats.

Unusual for Key West, the resort includes a parking garage (fee charged). Also available is a small fitness center with a massage room. Shops along the resort's open-air promenade include an ice-cream parlor, fly-fishing center, and clothing boutiques.

    Valet parking:
$5–15 per 24-hour period. Secured garage with in/out privileges.

    Self parking:
$5–15 per 24-hour period. Secured garage with no in/out privileges.
