Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport: Take the H-1 Fwy heading east. Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs to Waikiki. Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd, which merges with Kalakaua Ave. The hotel is the second building on the left after Uluniu St.

Getting there: Shuttles and taxis provide convenient service to the hotel, and both can be found right outside baggage claim. Shuttles cost $5–15 per person, while a typical taxi fare is $26–35. Rental cars are another option and are available online. All fees subject to change without notice.

Getting around: So much is within walking distance that many guests enjoy simply strolling to their destinations. For longer distances, however, the city bus provides excellent transportation for a reasonable price. Stops are located near the hotel, and a single fare is less than $5. Taxis are readily available in the Waikiki area as well and are popular for short trips. For longer trips, a tour service or rental car is a good choice. Duke's Canoe Club Waikiki - In The Outrigger Waikiki on the Beach hotel, this bar serves light fare, has music nightly, and is Waikiki's hottest "scene."

Amenity highlights: Just across the street, Waikiki Beach beckons. Along the back of the beach runs a lovely, grass-and-palm-tree park, with shaded benches for viewing the surfing action. Breakwaters offshore ensure lagoon-calm swimming conditions. (Locals call the beach at this point in the sandy sweep toward Diamond Head "Kuhio Beach." But to visitors, it's all Waikiki Beach, all light-colored, and all offers access to the same warm Pacific waters.)
