Driving directions from Honolulu International Airport: Take the H-1 Fwy heading east. Exit at Nimitz Hwy and follow the signs to Waikiki. Nimitz Hwy becomes Ala Moana Blvd, which merges with Kalakaua Ave. From Kalakaua Ave, turn left onto Liliuokalani Ave. Continue to the hotel on the left.

Getting there: Shuttles and taxis are two options for airport transportation, and both are available right outside baggage claim. Shuttles charge $5–15 per person, while taxi fare is usually $26–35. Getting around: Shops, restaurants, and nightlife surround the hotel, and many guests enjoy walking to their destinations. For longer trips, the city bus—known for its excellent service and dubbed "TheBus"—is a great option, and bus stops are located nearby. Full guides to bus service, including maps and usage tips, are available in both English and Japanese for $5–15. Regular fares are less than $5, while a four-day pass is available for $16–25. All fees subject to change without notice. Taxi service is also excellent in the Waikiki area. For those who plan to explore the outer reaches of the island, rental cars are the best bet, and they are available online.

Oceanarium - Perfect for family dining, this buffet restaurant on the first floor focuses on seafood.

Neptune's Garden - Linen-draped tables and a fine-dining menu draw adults looking for leisurely meals to this second-floor spot.

Shogun Restaurant - Located on the third floor, Shogun serves Japanese fare.

Room service is available to Aston Waikiki Beach Tower guests during limited hours.  

Amenity highlights: Despite the seclusion, Waikiki Beach and the multi-hued Pacific can't be missed—unit-wide balconies offer views of both. And crossing the street is all that's necessary to arrive at the beach, along the back of which runs a lovely, grass-and-palm-tree park, with shaded benches for viewing the surfing action. Breakwaters offshore ensure of lagoon-calm swimming conditions. (Locals call the beach at this point in the sandy sweep toward Diamond Head "Kuhio Beach." But to visitors it's all Waikiki Beach, all light-colored, and all offering access to the same warm Pacific waters.)
