All-suite, full-service resort on Kaanapali Beach Cheekily pink and cheerful as a wedding cake, this all-suite resort earns landmark status on north Kaanapali Beach. Other colors here are deep, from the blue Pacific to the greens of the West Maui Mountains and the five renowned golf courses that lie within 5 miles of the resort. One-bedroom suites measure an astonishing 820 square feet. Living/dining rooms contain a nearly full kitchen (only a range is absent) and an entertainment center that includes a 35-inch television set, a VCR, and a stereo cassette player. Each suite's lanai is unit-wide. Three atriums roofed with skylights each soar 12 stories high in the three-tower complex. An enormous pool complex covers one acre and includes a huge free-form pool, an equally huge sundeck, a big children's pool with a 60-foot water slide, a roomy hot tub, and a hilly rock garden with cascading waterfalls. |

DINING |
| Ohana Grill & Bar - Nightly entertainment brings a crowd to this open-air, thatched-roof restaurant adjacent to the pool. Pink chair cushions and pink mortar between flagstones forming the terrace extend the resort's color motif. An all-day menu of burgers, pizza, and salads is highlighted by a Kahlua Pig Sandwich with sautéed onions and grilled pineapple. A King Colada served in a pineapple is the drink of choice. Ohana Express - Next to the Grill & Bar is this spot offering much the same menu for takeout. Videotapes can also be rented here. North Beach Grille - Ceiling fans, bentwood chairs with thick floral cushions, and glass doors open to ocean breezes create a casual graciousness here for dining on local seafood, steaks, and prime rib. Moonbeams Lounge - Beneath a tile-roof gazebo approached by bridges over a surrounding koi pond, an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is spread out here each morning. Seating is in the Grill & Bar. |

SERVICES |
| What to expect: Perhaps because their suites here are larger than their apartments back home, young adults, many accompanied by children, favor this resort. Though it's utterly relaxing, the resort pulses with a certain energy, palpable at the all-you-can-eat complimentary breakfast buffet, on the beach and around the pool, and during a complimentary two-hour cocktail party each evening. Amenity highlights: Though Kaanapali Beach entices, the focus here is the acre of sun- and water-based fun within the pool complex. Other diversions include a health-and-beauty spa, oceanside massage, a game arcade including pool tables, a grass miniature-golf course, yoga classes, ukulele lessons, and twice-weekly star-gazing sessions with a computer-controlled telescope. For children ages 5–12, the Beach Buddies program offers daily Hawaiian-accented programs. Insider tip: To get away from everything, the lower lobby contains several seating areas furnished with brightly and plumply upholstered white-wicker chairs and sofas. One grouping includes a big-screen television set. |
| From the beach, to the pool complex, to the miniature golf course, to the health-and-beauty spa, to the game arcade, to soaring, airy public spaces and lush gardens, this 413-suite resort provides a full-experience Hawaiian vacation. And if any of Maui's many other attractions proves irresistible, the lobby contains an activities desk that will book everything, including a car rental. |
