    Driving directions from JFK: Take I-678 (Van Wyck Expy) west and drive for approximately 8 miles. At Exit 12B, merge onto I-495 (Long Island Expy) west and take the Queens Midtown Tunnel (toll road). After exiting the tunnel, turn left on E 34th St. Turn left on 1st Ave, then turn left on E 50th St. Turn right on Beekman Pl, then right on Mitchell Pl.

    Driving directions from Newark: Follow signs to take US 1/US 9 north to I-95 (New Jersey Tpke) north (toll road). Take Exit 16E to I-495 (Lincoln Tunnel), then exit to West Side Hwy/40th St. Turn right on 40th St, then turn left on 1st Ave. Turn right on E 50th St, right on Beekman Pl, then right on Mitchell Pl.

    Getting there: From LaGuardia and JFK, the best option for the solo traveler is a shuttle van ($16–25). Groups of two or more will usually find a taxi more economical ($16–25 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK). From JFK, guests traveling light may opt for the Air Train ($5–15). From Newark, guests can choose a shuttle van ($16–25), or opt for the Olympia shuttle bus ($5–15) to Penn Station, then a taxi to the hotel. (All fees subject to change without notice.)

Top of the Tower is open seven days a week for cocktails, dinner, and late supper, and it may be best known for its live piano entertainment, which takes place Tuesday through Sunday.
