Getting there: For the solo traveler, a good option from any of the airports is a shuttle van ($16–25). For groups of two or more, a taxi is usually a better value ($26–35 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK and Newark). Other transportation options include the Air Train from JFK ($5–15), and express buses from all three airports ($5–15); however, these methods will not take travelers directly to the hotel. Getting around: Walking is the best way to see the sights in the immediate area. For other destinations, the subway is a good choice (less than $5; fees subject to change without notice), especially during rush hour. Taxis are another good way to get around town. Rental cars are not recommended.
