Driving directions from LaGuardia: Take Grand Central Pkwy west to I-278 (Brooklyn-Queens Expy) west. Exit to SR 25A and bear right onto Queens Plaza N. Continue on Queensboro Bridge and exit to 2nd Ave south. Turn left on 2nd Ave, then turn right on E 57th St. Turn left on Lexington Ave, then turn left on E 50th St.

Driving directions from JFK: Take I-678 (Van Wyck Expy) north to SR 25 west. Bear left onto Queens Plaza N, take the Queensboro Bridge and exit to 2nd Ave south. Turn left on 2nd Ave, then turn right on E 57th St. Turn left on Lexington Ave, then turn left on E 50th St.

Driving directions from Newark: Follow signs to take US 1/US 9 north to I-95 (New Jersey Tpke) north (toll road). Take I-495 to the Lincoln Tunnel and exit to West Side Hwy/40th St. Turn right on W 40th St, then turn left on Avenue of the Americas. Turn right on W 46th St, then turn left on Park Ave. Turn right on E 50th St.

Getting there: For solo travelers, the best option from any of the three airports is a shuttle van ($16–25). For groups of two or more, a taxi is usually a better value ($26–35 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK and Newark). Other transportation into the city, including express buses and JFK's Air Train, is less expensive ($5–15), but does not go to individual hotels. Getting around: Walking is an excellent way to reach the many attractions near the hotel. For other destinations, the subway is a good choice, especially during peak traffic hours (less than $5; fees subject to change without notice). Taxis are another good way to get around town. Rental cars are not recommended.

Vue - This dance club serves a Continental menu and cocktails, and attracts locals in addition to hotel guests. It has a dramatic dome ceiling that displays moving projections, and features nightly DJs spinning a variety of dance music. Dress for guests is generally upscale.

Amenity highlights: Olica, the Kimberly's modern French restaurant, serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Its nightclub, Vue, offers cocktails, dinner, and late-night dancing. In addition to the 24-hour business center, guestrooms feature high-speed Internet access (fee), fax machines, and printers. The hotel owns all nine locations of the New York Health & Racquet Club (including two less than 2 blocks away), which guests may use at no extra charge.

Insider tip: Mid-July through mid-October, guests 17 and older may take a complimentary 3-hour cruise on the hotel yacht, which sails through New York Harbor and the East and West Rivers, offering views of the USS Intrepid and the Statue of Liberty.
