Driving directions from LaGuardia: Take Grand Central Pkwy west to I-278 (Brooklyn-Queens Expy) west. Exit to SR 25A and bear right onto Queens Plaza N. Continue on Queensboro Bridge and exit to 2nd Ave south. Continue off the exit onto 60th St, then turn left on 5th Ave. Turn right on W 59th St (Central Park S).

Driving directions from JFK: Take I-678 (Van Wyck Expy) north to SR 25 west. Bear left onto Queens Plaza N, take the Queensboro Bridge and exit to 2nd Ave south. Continue off the exit onto 60th St, then turn left on 5th Ave. Turn right on W 59th St (Central Park S).

Driving directions from Newark: Follow signs to take US 1/US 9 north to I-95 (New Jersey Tpke) north (toll road). Take I-495 to the Lincoln Tunnel and exit to West Side Hwy/40th St. Turn right on W 42nd, then turn left on 8th Ave. Take the Columbus Circle roundabout and exit to W 59th St (Central Park S).

Getting there: For the solo traveler, the best option from any of the airports is a shuttle van ($16–25). For groups of two or more, a taxi is usually a better value ($26–35 from LaGuardia; more than $36 from JFK and Newark). Other transportation options, including express buses and JFK's Air Train, are less expensive ($5–15), but do not go to individual hotels. Getting around: There are several shops and attractions within a short walk of the hotel, and walking is an excellent way to experience the city. For other destinations, the subway is a good choice, especially during rush hour (less than $5; fees subject to change without notice). Taxis are another good way to get around town. Rental cars are not recommended.

Café Botanica - A delightful leafy garden setting with a fountain and Central Park views sets the stage for excellent Mediterranean/American fare. All three meals are served, and the prix fixe lunch and pre-theater dinner are good values.

Journeys Lounge - Cocktails and light fare are offered in this comfortable bar with a fireplace, paneled walls, and leather seating.

Room service is also available during limited hours.
