Leather sofas, cushy club chairs, and soft lighting add to the Southwest ambience. Outside is a grand stone terrace graced with a freeform, quarry-like lily pond. Amenity highlights: The fun begins with five freeform pools, ranging from a children's pool to an adult lap pool, and offering a waterfall, slide, volleyball, and three spa tubs. There is a retreat for massage therapy and a full range of spa services. The 7,600-square-foot fitness center offers strength-training equipment, cardio machines, two tennis courts, and a quiet room for yoga or warming up. But golf is the name of the game here, with two 18-hole championship courses—one designed by Arnold Palmer—two clubhouses, a golf academy, putting greens, and a sports apparel shop. Insider tip: A number of courtyards and pavilions offer prime viewing spots for hill-country sunsets. The Plaza San Saba features ponds connected by cascading waterfalls. Emily's Rose Garden is a quaint garden courtyard with a cascading fountain. El Fortin Lawn is a gentle expanse of lawn and stone patio with giant limestone arches. |
