Seattle–Tacoma International Airport (SEA): Approximate driving time is 23 minutes and distance is 14 miles.

Driving directions from Seattle–Tacoma International Airport: Follow the signs for I-5 N. Continue on I-5 N and exit at Olive Way. Turn right onto Bellevue St and then right onto Pine St. Continue for six blocks and turn left into the Porte Cochere.

Getting there: Shuttles cost $16–25. Taxi service and Town Car service both cost $26–35. Limo service is available for more than $36. Rental cars are also convenient and are available online. All fees subject to change without notice.

Getting around: Located downtown, the hotel is within walking distance of offices, shops, restaurants, live entertainment, and other attractions. Taxis—best arranged by phone—are convenient for short distances. Also, a large "ride free zone" spanning practically all of downtown allows riders to enjoy complimentary bus service. Although rush hour traffic is heavy, it is also possible to drive downtown; garages are generally easier to find than on-street parking. Rental cars are definitely the best bet for travel beyond the immediate area.

Insider tip: Visitors to the Emerald City often enjoy a ride on an elevated train called the monorail. It travels to and from Westlake Center—an upscale shopping mall at Fourth Ave and Pine St—and Seattle Center, whose attractions include the Space Needle and the Experience Music Project. Hotel guests can walk three blocks to the Westlake Center stop and make the trip to Seattle Center for less than $5; trains leave every 10 minutes. Fee subject to change without notice.

    SERVICES
What to expect: Visual stimulation. Graced by an original Willem de Kooning bronze, The Reclining Figure, at its front entrance, the Grand Hyatt is artfully designed to resonate harmoniously with the surrounding cityscape and natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. The hotel presents a clean, modern aesthetic that departs from the typical nondescript urban hotel exterior, with green-shaded windows designed to mirror the sky.

Designer Betty Blount's discerning eye formed the interior's naturalistic, yet elegant feel. Wallpaper and ceiling tile are eschewed in favor of hardwoods, natural stone, and oxidized metal. In the lobby, African woods meld seamlessly with commissioned artwork and contemporary furniture in a warmly-lit environment.

Amenity highlights: There's no more impressive spot in Seattle to work out than the Grand Hyatt's cutting-edge athletic club. The thoughtfully designed space, occupying 3,800 square feet, continues the hotel's careful attention to both aesthetics and technology. Beautiful koa wood covers the floor of the main room, and a blue stone mosaic lines the wall of the whirlpool area. Flat-screen TVs on every cardio machine help take the boredom out of keeping fit. The club features the latest strength training and cardiovascular equipment, and if it’s relaxation you’re in the mood for, there’s a sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, and two massage treatment rooms.

Insider tip: Can't find the "Do Not Disturb" sign to hang on the doorknob? No worries—just push the little button to activate a red “Do Not Disturb” light that displays next to your guestroom door.

As befits its location in the land of Microsoft and dot coms, the Grand Hyatt has no shortage of smart technology. The hotel's Virtual Private Networks can link up all 425 guestrooms. Tech support is available 24 hours a day to help with any guest computer issues that may arise. The hotel also offers a state-of-the-art, 25,000-square-foot conference center with two spacious ballrooms and an amphitheater.
