    SERVICES
What to expect: This 1920s-era hotel serves many repeat business travelers who return for the gracious service and historic charm. Both business and leisure travelers also like the location on the edge of the Belltown neighborhood, just northwest of downtown.

Amenity highlights: Bathrooms retain their crisp 1920s decor and vintage tiled floors. Modern additions include deep, oversized bathtubs with a hand-held and wall-mounted shower.

Insider tip: The hotel is 1 block from the lovingly restored and updated Cinerama movie theater, one of the few remaining theaters with a curved screen designed for showing 70-mm films. (Microsoft mogul Paul Allen bought and revamped the theater in the late 1990s as a pet project.) Film buffs say any movie looks great here.

The 10-floor Claremont Hotel offers a complimentary Continental breakfast to all hotel guests, and has a fitness center and an Italian restaurant as well. Modem Internet access is available in the guestrooms and, as of early 2003, the hotel has plans to install a computer kiosk in the lobby so guests can check e-mail and surf the Web from this public space.
